Nino Jibuti - the school doctor is talking about the pediatric hygiene On April 28-29, Nino Jibuti ’11 and Tamar Jibuti, an alumna of the Georgia High School Exchange Program ’11, organized a community-based initiative ‘Stay Healthy’ aimed to promote healthy lifestyle among young people in Chokhatauri. Georgia. The project was held at the Niko Mari Public School and attracted 16 students from four different villages. The main topics of the training were nutrition, hygiene, sexual health, and physical exercise; the presentations were given by the school doctor and a local Peace Corps volunteer.

Nino Jibuti - training on Dental hygiene‘At the event students asked questions about the issues, which were rarely discussed in their schools and were encouraged to get involved in youth projects. The feedback from the participants was very positive,’ says Nino.

After the plenary session, participants were divided into groups and worked on new peer education tools and initiatives. The students will implement these initiatives in their local communities and share experiences through a newly-created online platform.
