On April 21, a group of FLEX alumni and volunteers led by Dina Abazovic ’15 cleaned up a park located in front of a local school in Bar, Montenegro. They also repainted a circular cement monument surrounded by benches, thus calling their action ‘Circles of Community’. The project partner was the Bar Students Parliament, which arranged volunteer help and provided lunch.
‘We restored the old look of the concrete circles and removed trash from the nearby area. Now every citizen of the city can enjoy the park,’ says Dina. ‘One of the things that impressed me most was the spirit of our volunteers – they were all really eager to do something good for the community’.
